This ID was created to celebrate the day Yuri Gagarin became the first human in space. The brief was very open so I quickly isolated the key themes and researched some creative reference. This came mainly from the world of Cinema, the most obvious homage is to 2001: A Space Odysee, however the reflection in the helmet was also inspired by science fiction, from Ridley Scott’s Alien. The client required grandure, a sense of epic distances and a celebration of space so the helmet was in orbit.
