Created for a competition, originally the plan was for a looping gif or video but I settled on a comic book strip which then evolved into the front cover of an instruction manual from the 70s-80s (plus 100 years or so).
I started with a sketch and then modelled the ship in C4D. I took the decision to keep it uncluttered by decals and other random junk to maintain the classic feel. The flat colour is courtesy of a built in cel renderer. Paper age added in photoshop.
